Trail of Dreams World Peace Walkers
Prepare to Cross the Border

Currently in El Paso, Texas, the Trail of Dreams Team is preparing to take their World Peace Walk into Mexico for the next six months.

EL PASO, Texas - February 20, 2006 – The Trail of Dreams Team, sponsored by the Spirit of Truth Foundation, will finalize their paperwork to begin their six months walk-about in the country of Mexico. In addition to walking around much of the central and eastern regions of Mexico, the Spirit of Truth Foundation will also sponsor the Beyond the Global Divide International Young Leaders Peace Summit in Palenque, Mexico in June, 2006.

T he Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk began in Atlanta, Georgia on October 21, 2005. It is a demonstration of ordinary people showing up to engage in a journey of the human spirit that will take them around the world in a three and a half years walk for world peace. Throughout the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk, walkers will meet with traditional/ indigenous wisdom keepers of the land, community leaders, spiritual leaders, youth leaders and community service organizations. In addition, walkers will participate in community service projects throughout.

According to organizer Audri Scott Williams, “The Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk seeks to raise our collective awareness as conscious choice makers and center us in our power to choose. It is about providing the opportunity for us to see and experience the consequences of choice. Walking around the globe and interacting with local communities reconnects the global family face to face.”

The Trail of Dreams Word Peace Initiatives are: Getting to Peace (Learning and developing strategies for peace making and engagement), Earth Power (Learning and developing strategies to reduce our impact on Mother Earth), and Straight Talk about Fitness & Wellness in our Communities (Encouraging communities to implement healthier fitness and wellness practices).

Audri Scott Williams, firmly believes that, “One step at a time … we do change the World.” The Trail of Dreams Team includes: Natalie Scott Williams, elder and matriarch of the walk; Karen Hunter Watson, Lessie Pat Randall, Chandelle C. Binns, Tony Shina and Audri Scott Williams all residents of Atlanta, GA.
