Reading for the Year 2006

 This is the first of several readings that will comprise the reading of the year.   We would like to begin this year by acknowledging the work of those on the planet -- who have inherited the role and lived their lives as great teachers and wisdom carriers for the many generations they were and are to affect. Much of the knowledge, wisdom and ways brought forward have been to affect a greater awareness of the forces of light (love, compassion, justice and equality) and dark (power over, separatism, greed, self gratification, violence and injustice).   The work of these great teachers will continue to be the foundation for what we share and speak.There is much that is happening around the world and much to come.

Elders are gathering in very sacred circles around the planet. Ancient wisdom carriers who have been praying for the earth and holding the balance of all things through their prayers, are uniting their fires. Call on these ancient wisdom carriers who are not only meeting in their special places, but are also networking among themselves through sacred ceremonies to identify those who will carry forward the ancient wisdom into the next ring of fire. Call on them to share their knowledge and earth-based wisdom.

We are in a period of escalating natural phenomena on Mother Earth. Spontaneous eruptions and shifts in the Earth’s core will create great changes in the earth’s surface. This will escalate throughout the year, often coming so abruptly that people will be taken off guard. These phenomena will create a rumbling as storms, fires, volcanic activity, earthquakes, droughts and many upheavals. At the same time, people on every level will become more and more intolerant of the inequitable distribution of resources and the inadequate responses to dramatic life changes on every level (social, political, religious, economic, etc.).  This will cause many to reevaluate their own priorities. Social, economic, military and political structures will be greatly challenged. Responses to these phenomena will challenge nations, regions and continents to react globally while attempting to maintain a nationalistic identity.

This year is a call to action. Unlike previous readings, the Grandmothers are not teaching old lessons (e.g. the dance of good and evil, light and dark). They say that this year is about making choices, taking steps, subjecting to a deeper more meaningful expression of self in relationship to the world around us. It is a time to embrace the most powerful aspect of ourselves -- our capacity to choose -- to make choices.

Timing now is very important. "To everything there is a season," and now we are into a season when it is important to move at a consistent pace of internal and external  discovery and action. Timing is very important….being where you are to be when you are to be there is crucial, both literally and figuratively. So much is being activated within each of us whether we are aware of it or not. Do not underestimate the importance of the things you are being called to do and the feelings, dreams and visions that appear to be guiding you. Your task is to be able to discern that which you are hearing and feeling so that you can fulfill the job that you are here to do. Seek counsel if necessary. This time will call upon our spiritual leaders to rise up and take bold postures to guide and direct us through the maze of religious separatism and spiritual isolation.

In this season we must be able to recognize that we are a part of the changes we see around us. We hold a very important key to the outcomes and experiences of these phenomena on earth. The earth will do what she needs to do to continue to thrive as a viable planet that can support the unique life forms that makes her special. We can support her in the process and radically shift what we see around us, or we can continue to place ourselves outside of the experience and wait for others to make the choices for us. The unfortunate effect of so blindly allowing ourselves to be lead by those in positions of power and authority is that their decisions may, more often than not, be thwarted by motivations out of alignment with the highest good for all.

We refer to 2006 as the year for creating personal and collective platforms for decisive and righteous actions that will become guideposts not only for this but for future generations to come. It is a time for remembering, making assessments, realignments, and reconciliations in preparation for establishing this platform. In this reading, understanding the notion of “to all things there is a season” is crucial. This is the season for a call to action. We can talk about light, we can visualize light and dark energies (the good and the bad), we can intellectualize and meditate but this year we must understand that these actions are tools for preparing ourselves for right action --not a substitute for action nor a means to escape our responsibilities as co-inhabitants on this earth. Navigating challenges that will arise this year on every conceivable level will require us to make major leaps in our personal and spiritual growth. This must be evidenced in the actions that we must take to affect significant changes in our lives to align with a higher or greater good for humanity and for Mother Earth.

Everything in our field of vision will reflect our capacity to remember ourselves through a unique window of potential that will avail itself to each of us. We will have choices to make. First, through our various processes of remembering we will have to learn to recognize who we are and the landscape upon which we now find ourselves. Upon recognition of the season of our lives we will be called to reassess and reconcile our life choices -- what we do -- not what we say. It goes without saying here that this is a process and will require the embodiment of self love, compassionate responses to what may appear as our short comings, and readiness to forgive so we can move forward in peace and wholeness.

Realignment will require taking responsibility for our life -- as it is. If your life does not align to the words and intentions you project to yourself and others, then take the time to remember, reassess or realign, and reconcile the projections you are putting forth. The bottom lines at this time are: Are you willing to lovingly embrace the full potential of your being? Are you willing to ‘color outside of the lines’? Will you go beyond your comfort zones to experience growth? Are you willing to be well on every level? Are you willing to be what you are being called to be?

Only you can initiate your journey into self.   And, from that vantage point, only you can choose how you will project yourself into the greater landscape of the world around you. The veil is lifted. Those who choose to see -- will see. It is the time of the opening of the "All Seeing Eye" on every level. The contradictions that are expressed in every aspect of our personal and global lives are fully evident. The questions that this will present are: What will we do? What will I do? Not, what will they do? When each of us becomes clear of our path -- the “they” will become the reflection of that expression.

All of us on the planet at this time have come at a time when the thread of intention met with clear and decisive action. This may be the most important key we have for a sustainable future.   At this time, you must be aware of your own belief system and what shapes it. Your belief system is the foundation from which all of your actions emanate.   It is only by examining that which you believe to be true, that you begin to understand yourself deeper and deeper, what makes each of us who and what we are.   What agreements did we come here to affect?

Dare to look out into the world -- really seeing for yourselves through the various lenses that are available to you. What do you see? Not what illusion is being created for you, but what do you see? What do you feel as you see? What would it look like if all was reflecting a clear vision of peace, justice, equality, access, love and compassion? As you hold that vision imagine how you would fit into this new view of the world? What would you be doing to contribute to it? This vision can radiate around the globe and create a shift for the betterment of our lives, if in the midst, we can set a clear intention and then rise to the occasion by acting upon our intention. We can and must create a possible future for the greatest good. In order to begin that process you must know the heart of humanity. Examine the question, “What is the passion of the human spirit?”

What is important in this reading is to raise the question. We have said before, it is not what you know that make the difference. It is knowing what questions need to be asked. Through daring questions, growth will happen. We say to humanity at this time, “Dare to ask the question and allow the passion in you to rise up in response to these questions.” Passion is important in the process of transforming an idea into action. It is passion that allows ideas to be realized. Passion interjected into a possible idea or concept of a possible future for the world, will create the radical moment for change. Every thought transformed into action creates an impact far beyond that one person. So that, every day we are extending into the world thoughts and ideas on every level. The manifest reality of the human experience is the result of these thoughts transformed into action. What thoughts for a possible future are you holding?

This year is about navigating your life path and owning it, stepping up to the plate -- the place in your own consciousness that calls you forward -- your own Divine goodness that is often hidden from the world because of the fear of what others may think. Slowing down and trusting that the light of the world supports you.

In so many ways the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk is the enactment of what is being called forward at this time. In its own small way it is a laboratory for change -- 'one step at a time'. It is a process that opens the eyes and hearts to the creation of and exploration of a possible future of peace, love and compassion. In its small way it sends the Trail of Dreams Team through a continual process of evolvement that is close enough at hand to consciously and dynamically open each observer to a greater view of their own potentiality.

"In the stillness of the journey, the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk, is now the metaphor for others. You are able to connect with and submit to a power greater than yourself. Not just a conversation about God but the opportunity to be in the midst of Godliness through the numerous ways that synchronicity shows up to support you, to meet you where you are and launch you forward. Nature shows up and assists in the alignment of your deepest thoughts passions, embracing you in so much love that you can’t help but be the reflection of its radiance. So in this small way you are walking for so many. It has increased other’s awareness of their infinite potential whether they know you or have simply heard of you, the ripple effect is creating an awakening. This experience continues to raise the bar. The Walk is a catalyst for growth for many."

This time may prove to be challenging for those who suddenly find themselves in the midst of a call to embrace a redistributive process that could result in a more just and equitable world. The challenge of this process is that it will call to question the issue of privilege. On a level of divine grace, we cannot address the evolving of the human spirit without including in it the call to action, a self -reflective observance of how much privilege and at what price to humanity at large and to Mother Earth?

A true peace maker can walk in the midst of great wealth, as well as the dusty roads of poverty and be a light bearer. Once you have come into the awareness of Divine Light your fear of being looses attachment and releases its hold on you. Great peace keepers, those who made history and those that did not, could so easily give their lives to leave the legacy that they represent as guide posts for the rest of humanity. There was in them the knowledge of having embraced the fullness of their being and applying it for great change. The closer you come to affecting dynamic shifts in your belief system that will allow you to move closer and closer to a possible future that all can believe in, the more you will discover the freedom of action to affect great change on this global stage.

The year 2006 will continue to be met with earthly changes and assaults that can have a far reaching impact on the people of this world, creating opportunities for humanity to grow and respond to the best of what it means to be human -- triggering long term behavioral changes. As we grow to become more and more aware that there is nothing in the universe that is independent of everything else, that everything we do creates a universal response. Every action is an invitation for another that will manifest, not only in our known environment but in the universal or cosmic environment as well. Therefore, should we continue on the track of destruction that puts the resources and the planet itself at considerable risk -- we not only run the risk of destroying the planet but of upsetting an even greater balance throughout the universe. This is why the Grandmothers continue to communicate the vested interest that they and other angels, guides and deities have in working with us to ensure the well being of the earth and her inhabitants.  

The first quarter of the year, the seismic activity on the planet will confound and baffle scientists, political and spiritual leaders as they watch the numbers in an attempt to provide explanations and warnings to communities that will be impacted.

Areas in the United States to watch will be the north western parts of the country. The southern region, from Southern California to Florida, will have the opportunity to move intermittingly between flooding waters as a result of sudden rainfalls and storms and through fires as a result of droughts and unseasonably warm temperatures. Ultimately, this will have an effect on water supplies and quality of sources – making drinkable water a rarer commodity than oil. The southern areas of the gulf region will continue to have its challenges in response to the hurricanes. These challenges will be on every level from geographic to political. Many agendas are shaping the future of this region. The landscape of our society is changing and demanding our attention to orchestrate social, cultural and spiritual responses for the highest good of all.

Unfortunatel , unpredictable weather patterns are likely to assault the region for the next three years. Recovery will be taxing and long term. The east coast of Mexico down to Panama and Venezuela will have its share of challenges particularly political and financial. The United States’ response will create a short term closing of borders and relations. This response will not be able to hold in the long term due to potential assaults on the western hemisphere (both natural and militaristic). Chili will rise in power as untapped resources rise to the surface of awareness. This may create a shifting of the balance of power for the region. The infrastructure of the United States will be undermined by the outsourcing of jobs and foreign investments in US companies.   The Mediterranean, specifically Southern Italy should continue to be watched. Seismic activity deep in the Mediterranean Sea may have a dynamic effect on the region which will include southern Spain, Southern France, and northern Africa.

From South Africa all the way up to Mozambique, Kenya. Uganda, Somalia, Ethiopia, and the middle northern parts of Africa, will continue to be fought over for access to their resources with a great toll on human lives. Turkey and areas in Poland and Russia , will be affected by unusual weather patterns and civil unrest. India, Pakistan and parts of Indonesia will not only be affected by storms and land mass shifts associated with both tectonic shifts and earth quakes but with famine and unusual weather patterns. Japan and China will also be impacted with earth quakes and volcanic activity.

The oceans of the world will be the source point of many of the activities happening in the land. The earth mantle is shifting, cracking and healing. Fissures in the earth mantle are opening, allowing a lot of energy to escape from the inner core to the outer core. The mantle of the earth itself is experiencing an outward expansion, as though the inside of the earth is reclaiming the outside. First, second, third, and fourth quarters will all mirror each other - - no one area more impacted than another. Things will tend to move in a westerly direction creating a westerly spiral. In the first quarter people affected throughout the globe will be caught by surprise. Therefore, resources to address great shifts in weather patterns and seismic activity will not be in place - - in many cases causing unfortunate loss of life and the collapsing of infrastructures. In the second quarter the long term effects of humanitarian needs will begin to take its toll on surplus resources from both public and private sources. The third quarter will raise serious questions on how to respond to these changes when resources are constricted. For the first time, political lines may have to be redrawn to accommodate shifting populations in response to natural phenomena impacting significant populations. The fourth quarter may see a great redistribution of wealth and geographical boundaries. Political agendas and religious disputes create a climate for considerable unrest and upheaval.

As the funds are released the second and third quarters of the year, people will begin to become disgruntled because their resources may be channeled through means that are outside the intention for which the money was given. This will force more emphasis in the U. S. and other countries on Peace Departments that may become more active in the way nongovernmental resources are distributed to address peace initiatives. In the second quarter people will give personal resources and services to causes. The continued impact of the natural phenomena will create a continued redistribution of people as well. The demographic changes, long term, will have a significant impact on policy changes as we know them.

We recommend that all of you discover that which will enable you to be at your best or to vibrate at your highest. Take care of yourselves on every level. Reach beyond program responses to the conditions you see around you. Sure up your vessels by paying attention to your immune systems. With all of the changes occurring in your lives your physical and emotional bodies will be impacted and need nurturing and healing to allow you to move through significant life changes. Airborne viruses, bacteria and unknown sources of assault on your physical beings are likely. Remember your vessels are quite resilient. Align with the best of yourself and allow blueprints for perfection to guide you through caring for your vessels for physical and emotional well being during great times of change.

Humanity is growing and changing even though it may appear otherwise. There will be a rising up of people who, at their very core recognize that they can and will make a difference. This will happen throughout the year. There will also be considerable breakthroughs in the medical arena, particularly in the area of some neurological   disorders such as early onset Alzheimer ’s. There will also be breakthroughs in Cancer treatments —particularly in some of the more radical forms of cancer as new enzymes are discovered that will assist in their healing. This will impact liver and pancreatic cancer as well as cancer of the spleen and certain intestinal cancers. Evidence of the awakening of the human spirit will offer more promise than we have seen in some time. Remember your testimony is evidenced around you because it is happening within you. We appreciate you and conclude this Reading of the Year with this prayer for humanity . . .

“We call upon the powers of the universe, the great organizing energy of all that ever was and all that ever shall be, to pour forth into the hearts of humanity. We pray that each human being awakens to hear their call, to allow that which is coming forward to rise to levels of consciousness that will direct your actions in loving and compassionate ways. That humanity will not move blindly into the future but rather embrace the full potential of itself and lift itself to the highest order of its divinity. We call forward all of the spirit guides, ancestors and angels to encircle you, to nudge you, to rise with you. A brighter day is possible and we give thanks to you -- to those of you who are rising up to meet the challenges of this time. We pray for your continued growth and strengthening and we vow our presence in your life as a substance from which you can draw strength, courage and wisdom. May you allow the divine source of all creation to light your path and guide you unencumbered into the mighty future that has been promised to humanity.   We vow to be there with you, and we leave you to ponder the possibilities of your future and to take the action that will open the way for a brighter day in your life and in the life of generations to come. Dare to be all that you have been placed here to be and to experience. All is possible. In the midst of great change much is birthed. Remember what is sacred - - and give thanks for all the blessings that are being showered down upon this great planet at this time, this favored place in the eyes of all creation.”
