Chandelle C. Binns
peaceangel@bellsouth.net

Chandelle Binns is originally from Virginia. She moved to Nashville, Tennessee when she was five years old.   Chandelle, raised by a single mother who spent her career helping people heal from trauma and alcoholism, is inspired by the work of her mother. She decided early on to pursue the fields of Arts, Healing and Education. She spent much of her education and early career as an actor and behind the camera in TV and video production. Chandelle realized through her work with video, that alternate realities could be created and communicated, not just through words, but also visually through the camera. Through this medium she saw through the camera lens the power it held for provoking emotions centered on the relationship between man and nature.

Chandelle experienced a transformation behind the camera… a human awakening.   She felt that she was a part of something larger than herself.   Through this experience Chandelle knew that she had captured magic and inspiration with the camera. In 2004, Chandelle traveled to South Africa to document and interview the tribes and ceremonies of the Indigenous elders in the Limpopo River Valley and Krueger National Park.   Chandelle loves being behind the camera, documenting the life force and passion of those that are truly connected and ‘plugged into’ our existence.   Chandelle continues to interview and document the ancient wisdom of Indigenous cultures all over the world. She is also a student of Hatha Yoga and meditation.

“My vision is of generations who understand that peace and love go hand in hand. I want people to love one another, and this place we call earth. I want love to be an action not a conversation. I want our government to focus on developing departments of peace and peace programs in schools. I want to see commercials about earth awareness, recycling, clean water acts, and environmental building. I want to see class and race as no longer a conversation and the elimination of poverty, abuse and violence. I want the greatest human creations to be about art, music, and life.”

You become the change you want to see in the world. Her Vision for a better world led her to the Trail of Dreams Peace Walk.

Before joining this walk for peace, he was Assistant Director at the Institute for Divine Wisdom of which he is also a graduate.

“From my new awareness, I joined the walk to experience the joy that life is, having joy in everything we do … that is what is making this Peace Walk fulfilling for me.”
