Beyond the Global Divide

Upcoming Events

Beyond The Global Divide Natural Time Intensive, Palenque, Mexico ~ June 20 – 25, 2006 & Healing the Healers Intensive, Big Island Hawai’i ~ December 20 – 26, 2006
http://www.sacredsites.com/americas/mexico/palenque.html

The Beyond The Global Divide (BGD) intensive retreats will each be attended by approximately 13 to 20 global peace ambassadors, in addition to traditional indigenous elders and young leaders from the respective lands. Both intensives are scheduled to coincide with the arrival of the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk. For attendees, these intensives are designed to expand awareness through dialogue and experience, to fortify inner-spiritual strength and presence of peace, to create an opportunity to serve local communities, to document the wisdom teachings and stories of the elders, and to prepare the way for larger BGD gatherings in Aswan, Egypt (2007) and New York City (2009), that also coincide with the World Peace Walk. The first retreat, in Palenque, Mexico (June 20 – June 25, 2006), will focus on natural time, a term used to identify the ancient Mayan time science and its correlating prophecies, related to the contemporary 13 Moon Dreamspell Calendar (www.lawoftime.org) as well as the Mayan True Time Long Count, kept by traditional Mayan Day Keepers (www.sacredroad.org) for thousands of years.

The second retreat, in Big Island Hawai’i (November 1-5, 2006), will serve as a healing intensive for BGD global peace ambassadors, and will include the participation of Hawai’ian Na Koa (elders) and young leaders from the island. http://www.bigisland.com/

BGD ambassadors will be restored and rejuvenated while blending with the powerful energies of the ancient land of Mu. Meditate at the volcanoes, walk the lava tubes, relax on the beach, swim with dolphins, eat fresh fruits, and witness rainbows everyday. Through sharing story and visiting key locations on the Big Island, attendees will become familiar with the ancient culture and cosmic history of Hawai’i, documenting the experience so that it may be shared with all. This intensive will provide an opportunity for attendees to slow down, become centered, and remember what it is like to play as a child of The Creator in one of Earth’s most magical and sacred oceanic gardens. As an expression of gratitude that honors the sacredness of the land and acknowledges a commitment to the family of humanity, global peace ambassadors and peace walkers will also take part in a community service initiative with local community members.

Both intensives serve as an initiation in the practice and art of manifestation; and, therefore, it is up to the volition of each participant to provide their own travel to and from these intensives. Once they have arrived, food, shelter, and transportation during the intensives will be collectively provided for all participants by all participants in an exercise of true community and cooperative living. > > If you intend to participate in either intensive, please email soulfolk2013@yahoo.com, or call (202) 246-8385.
